I am trauma informed, intersectional, and LGBTQ+ affirming. I promote the independence and autonomy of my clients and want you to get to a place where you feel confident to go it alone.

When booking any of my services you are able to have an initial conversation totally free. This is a chance to chat about the support you’re seeking and ensure that we’re both happy to work together – there’s no obligation to book sessions if it doesn’t feel right.  My aim is to provide you with the information you need to determine if I’m the right fit for you.

Why “The Counsellor Thing”

Firstly, it rhymes with my surname – Jessica Wing, The Counsellor Thing.

But why should you pick me as your therapist? I’ve been working with people struggling with their mental health since 2016, and counselling since 2019. I’m a qualified and accredited Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor, which means that in my training I studied multiple theoretical approaches and use a different combination of skills depending on the needs of my clients. I’m a real human (not clinical with a clipboard) and not afraid to be my authentic self, which I believe gives my clients permission and space to do the same.

The essence of my work is to facilitate a non-judgemental space for you to explore your experiences, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and gain empowerment in your own wellbeing. I endeavour to support my clients in a trauma informed way – where they feel safe, supported, and valued.

You can connect to sessions from the comfort and privacy of your own home, slotting therapy into your schedule at the most convenient time for you. If you’re new to using video conferencing platforms then my initial consultation is a great way to find out what it could be like to have therapy online.
